Thus, in the past,

  •  was worth 1 point,
  •  was worth 2 points,
  •  was worth 3 points, and
  •  was worth 4 points

...towards the Pedigree Number.  Between 20 Pet Abilities on a pet, the

  • minimum Pedigree Number was 20 (every ability is Uncommon)
  • maximum Pedigree Number was 80 (every ability is Epic).

However, a new Rarity Tier was added:  .  After this update, we began seeing Pedigree Numbers greater than 80.

Thus, the Pedigree number is no longer directly related to the number of little blips/dots/pips/markers on the Petnome.  Instead, every little blip/dot/pip/marker on a Pet ability will be an additional point, assuming each Pet ability is worth 1 point by default.

Thus,

  •  is now 1 point    (default value of 1)

  •  is now 2 points  (default value of 1 + 1 marker),

  •  is now 3 points  (default value of 1 + 2 markers),

  •  is now 4 points  (default value of 1 + 3 markers),

  •  is now 5 points  (default value of 1 + 4 markers).

Therefore, the Petnome Project will be redefining the maximum pedigree number to 100 (twenty Epic abilities), while a Petnome consisting of all Common abilities will represent the minimum pedigree number of 20.
